A Big Win for Castleton Farm Shop at the North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards 2017

Celebrations are in full swing for Castleton Farm Shop after winning Best New Retail Product (for 11 – 50 employees) at the prestigious North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards 2017.
Castleton Farm Shop was one of 11 winners awarded at the ceremony on Thursday 30th March, which saw a total of 74 entries across all categories.Castleton Farm Shop was a fitting winner for the Best New Retail Product with their Strawberry Tart Jelly due to its fantastic flavor and the story behind the product.The awards, delivered in partnership by Opportunity North East (ONE) and Aberdeenshire Council, are part of an ambitious programme of activity to support food and drink businesses of all sizes through business growth, innovation, strengthening the supply chain, market development and skills development.

Anna Mitchell said, “We are delighted to have won this category with our Strawberry Tart Jelly! The team have worked hard to develop this product and are very proud of it.”

The awards received sponsorship from a range of organisations including ESS Support Services Worldwide, Aston Scott, Highlands and Island Enterprise, Johnston Carmichael, Mackie’s of Scotland, Maclay, Murray and Spens LLP, Scotland Food & Drink, Skills Development Scotland, Strachans Ltd and The Moray Council.
