How to get to Castleton Farm Shop & Cafe – Route Diversion Map

On August 9, 2018
There is a simple way to get to Castleton Farm Shop & Cafe despite the usual route being closed for road and bridge repairs. There is a simple diversion in place which takes you only 1.5 miles out of the way, and even that, only if you are coming from the North direction. If you are coming from the south direction, there are no additional miles whatsoever!
Pay attention though, because the official diversion is via Stracathro, and we don’t want to you take such a long route. We also put our own signs to make it easier for you, so keep an eye out for the big strawberry like this!

COMING FROM ABERDEEN/NORTH:

To get to Castleton from either North or South direction on A90, you need to take Fordoun turnoff. When on A90, just carry on travelling South approximately 2 miles past the usual turn off to Castleton until you reach the Fordoun turnoff to the right onto Old Aberdeen Road. Follow Old Aberdeen Road back North approximately 1.5 miles and Castleton Farm Shop is on your left.

COMING FROM STONEHAVEN/SOUTH:

Take the Fordoun Auchenblae turnoff to the left onto Old Aberdeen Road. Follow this road approximately 1.5 miles and Castleton Farm Shop is on your left.
