As everyone looks forward to summer, our cafe is reopening its doors with some new attractions.

The change to a “stay local” message lets Aberdeenshire residents make the most of the cafe reopening. And as well as the new conservatory to enjoy, there’s some exciting outdoors play equipment for younger visitors.

The new additions, which will include a convenient kiosk, will make it easier for food and drinks to be enjoyed in an outdoors environment.

This is as well as it now being easier to get time to enjoy it. Children will love the new play equipment with a distinctly farmyard theme.

Freedom

Castleton’s Anna Mitchell said: “We are very conscious of the need to stay safe but we also know people are desperate to get out and enjoy a little bit of freedom.

“You can enjoy our usual delicious meals, coffees and bakes in a spacious and airy space. This lets everyone maintain a safe distance.

“And as well as our new tractor-themed play equipment – which is bound to appeal to the wee farmer in every child – we are installing the latest ice cream machine.

“This makes naturally delicious real fruit ice cream with fruit picked from the nearby fields right in front of your eyes.

“We will keep our fingers crossed for some good weather over the Easter weekend. But we’ll be making the most of the outdoors regardless!”
