If you’re looking for a dog-friendly cafe in Aberdeenshire, then Castleton is the answer.
Your canine companions are welcome in our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a worry-free coffee and cake.
Maybe you’re en route somewhere and looking for a convenient stop-off for a break and some lunch.
Or maybe you’re looking for an afternoon out with great dog walks nearby and a coffee and cake-shaped reward.
Dog friendly
Whichever it is, you can be sure of a friendly reception for your furry friend.
The Castleton team is always on hand with a bowl of water and for a wee pet. And the cool stone floors in our airy and spacious conservatory are perfect for when the weather turns warmer.
If you’re looking for ideas for walkies time, there are some great walks nearby.
If your dog likes the woods, we have Dunnottar Woods and Castle just north of us on the A90. Or Denlethen and Inglismaldie woods are there to discover to the south.
We’re only a few miles from the coast, with the glorious sands of St Cyrus or Stonehaven boardwalk and its fascinating sculptures.
And there’s also a tremendous walk round the Rocks of Solitude at Edzell through the famous “blue door”.
Refreshing
Any of these should let you work up a sufficient appetite to order anything from our menu.
Maybe it’s a quick refill with a bacon roll and a bowl of soup, or perhaps some bark-aroni cheese?
You’ll be fit as a butcher’s dog with one of our renowned peppered steak baguettes. You can always try one of Bel’s Butcher’s prime scotch beef burgers with a selection of mouth-watering toppings.
You might even manage a piece of paw-vlova for afters.
So take the “lead” and get along to Castleton and the perfect dog-friendly location.
You’d be barking mad to miss out.
