When is the Platinum Jubilee Weekend?
The Platinum Jubilee Weekend takes place from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June. It marks the 70 years of service by Her Majesty The Queen – making her the longest serving British monarch. Now that requires a hefty slice of cake.
What’s happening during the Platinum Jubilee Weekend?
A big milestone calls for a big celebration and a string of events are taking place to mark the occasion.
From outdoor big screens in parks across the UK streaming the proceedings to thousands, street parties and star-studded performances – every minute of the Platinum Jubilee Weekend is accounted for. And not forgetting street parties and gatherings where over 10million UK residents are expected to join in on the celebrations.
What is the Castleton Jubilee Afternoon Tea?
When we put our heads together to think about the best way to mark the Platinum Jubilee, it didn’t take us long to decide on an afternoon tea. Quintessential to British culture, an afternoon tea was a fitting tribute.
But this is no standard afternoon tea of course. Add homemade cupcakes decorated with union jack icing, individual berry trifles, our signature scones and strawberry tarts – this is a Castleton Jubilee Afternoon Tea.
Savoury fans – you’re well catered for too. Our delicious stilton and pear quiche makes an appearance alongside a selection of finger sandwiches, smoked salmon roulade and the irresistible Wark Farm Pies. And to ramp up the Jubilee theme, it would be rude not to include our coronation sausage roll.
How to order a Castleton Afternoon Tea?
Our Jubilee Afternoon Tea selection is priced at £20 per person and if you’re not one for sweets, the Castleton Jubilee Savoury Platter is right up your street priced at £10 per person. With plenty of spread for each person, you and your guests will be well fed.
And there are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available for both the platters and the afternoon teas.
Simply pick your afternoon tea or savoury platter, select the number of people you need to cater for and add to your cart. If any other supplies from our online shop fall into your basket, we won’t blame you…
Once you’re ready to check your order out, makes sure to select ‘click and collect’ as your shipping option and select your collection date. Our Jubilee selection are available to collect on Thursday 2, Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June.
