Allergy-friendly food menu perfect for adults and children

On June 28, 2022

The summer holidays are here and Castleton Farm is the perfect stop to keep children busy (and well fed) through those sunny days – with a food allergy-friendly menu.

Our conservatory area is a popular spot for families where adults can relax and look out to stunning countryside where the kids can play in our tractor-themed playpark.

And when breaktime calls for our wee farmers, they can take a breather in our café and refuel.

Our menu is designed with food allergies and intolerances in mind.

We know that in the UK, 40% of children have been diagnosed with an allergy and one of the most common of these is a food allergy.

Quality is important to us and we pay particular attention to our menu to make sure all our customers are catered for.

kids menuUsing only the best local produce and paying attention to the finest of details, we make sure that a delicious meal is always in store.

Better yet, all our food is homemade and freshly prepared making it easier for us to pinpoint exactly what’s in your food.

Our extensive menu caters to all dietary requirements to make sure everyone gets the full Castleton Farm café experience.

And our younger diners are equally important to us. The Castleton kids’ menu also has all the allergen information clearly flagged up, so you can navigate a child’s food allergy or intolerance safely and with confidence.

The allergen key on our menu helps you make the informed choices that give you peace of mind as you enjoy your food.

The key to gluten-free

A “G” signals a dish contains cereals or gluten, while an “E” shows eggs are present. We even distinguish between peanuts (“P”), nuts (“N”) and sesame seeds (“Sesame”) because we want you to feel reassured that you have all the information you might need to make the right choice.

Celery allergy is one of the rarer food allergies in the UK, but it’s still significant enough to be one of the 14 allergens that are highlighted in allergen labelling in the UK.

And so you don’t feel you’re missing out, we also offer a gluten-free bread choice for our sandwiches.

There’s nothing more disappointing than dining out and finding the options are limited if you have a specific allergy or intolerance. You don’t have to worry about that here at Castleton Farm.

We offer specific vegan main meals (marked, unsurprisingly “Vegan”) to make some decisions even easier.

So whether it’s breakfast to start off the day, lunch or an essential coffee and cake stop, there’s plenty in store.

Friendly team

There’s no such thing as a silly question, so if there is anything that doesn’t make sense or you have a query, do ask.

Our helpful café team is on hand and can help with any questions you have and we can make some amendments to our dishes where possible.

No matter your dietary requirement, everyone is catered for at Castleton Farm and we welcome you to join us. Simply drop in to grab a table or book a table online.
