We’re gearing up for Christmas here at Castleton with plenty on offer to get you in the festive spirit.
From afternoon teas to creating your own festive feasts, breakfast with Santa to the perfect customised hamper, make it a Castleton Christmas.
Events and gifts
Get yourself gently into the mood with one of our festive afternoon teas. We’re putting these on from Saturday 26 November through to Friday 23 December. Book your place – between 2pm and 3.30pm – and start the celebrations on a sweet note.
Finding the ideal Christmas present is always a challenge. Combine your afternoon tea visit with a browse through our selection of thoughtful gifts in our shop.
Why not choose from one of our outstanding quality hampers or build your own Scottish hamper? Or give them the ultimate choice with a gift voucher to spend in person in our farm shop or café. They can be picked up or we’ll deliver them to the door.
Something special for the little ones is our breakfast with Santa.
Running on Sunday 11 and Saturday 17 December, you can book a table for both adults and children for our special Santa menu, have some fun and then pop up and see Santa and tell him what’s on your Christmas list.
If you give us a note of the children’s names and ages, it helps us check the naughty and nice list that morning – just to make sure!
And for something a little different, we have the Christmas Breakfast with The Grinch & Cindy Lou on Saturday 10 December. Every child gets a takeaway craft activity and an “alternative present” from The Grinch.
A Castleton Christmas
At Castleton Farm, we produce the best traditional Scottish food, and that is exactly what you need for your festive feast.
For the big day, it has to be turkey. Our free range beauties are from Maryfield or Barra Bronze and are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. We also offer turkey crowns as well as convenient servings of ready-cooked turkey.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without stuffing and pigs in blankets. And be sure not to forget the gravy and bread sauce!
Then select your vegetables. You might want some tatties and neeps, or a flash of festive red cabbage and the essential brussel sprouts.
An easier route is to tell us how many people you’re catering for and we can supply a selection. Or order your ready-to-heat veg. From roast potatoes to honey roast parsnips and cauliflower cheese, we know how to make it easier on you on the big day.
We even make it easy with a Christmas Eve steak pie or lasagne supper. And we have all the quality beef you could need for after Christmas with top cuts from Bel’s Butchers and Ingram’s Aberdeenshire.
Tempting treats
Finally, take your pick from our famous home-made desserts. Go for the traditional clootie dumpling, or maybe choose a cheesecake. There’s chocolate orange, lemon or raspberry and white chocolate, and they’re sure to go down a treat. If you’re looking for something lighter, we have a tempting pavlova. Or go the whole hog with a sticky toffee pudding.
