Quality soft fruit, supplied with confidence
A reliable Scottish grower for stockists and supply-chain customersÂ
Wholesale supply
Castleton Farm supplies premium soft fruit from its family-run farm in Aberdeenshire.
For more than 20 years, our fruit has reached customers through established retail and wholesale supply chains, supported by careful growing, skilled teams, quality control and a purpose-built packhouse.
We understand that stockists need more than a good berry.
They need consistent quality, dependable communication and confidence that fruit will arrive in the right condition, at the right time.
We have supplied the UK’s major supermarkets for over 20 years, with the majority of our fruit going to Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl.
Fruit grown in Scotland
We grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and cherries at Castleton.
Our location in Aberdeenshire, with long daylight hours and a cooler climate, supports a long growing season and helps fruit ripen slowly.
Seasonal availability varies, but our crop range helps us supply fresh soft fruit across a broad part of the year.
Quality from field to packhouse
Fruit is picked by hand, checked, graded, chilled and packed at Castleton. Our packhouse carries out quality checks throughout the process, including temperature, sugar levels, size, colour and appearance.
Rapid chilling helps protect freshness, while careful packing and labelling prepare the fruit for onward distribution.
Quality and assurance
Our customers expect fruit that meets high standards for quality, safety and traceability. Castleton is BRCGS accredited, follows the SEDEX ETI base code and is a member of the Berry Gardens co-operative.
Sustainability in the supply chain
Quality and sustainability go together. Our approach includes regenerative farming, soil-health work, renewable-energy systems, responsible packaging and reducing the distance that fruit needs to travel.
We are continuing to improve how we grow, pack and supply fruit, while recognising that sustainability is an ongoing process rather than a finished claim.
“Our aim is to farm profitably, in an ethical and environmentally sustainable way. What makes us different is our blend of innovation and tradition.”
